In case of traditional braces, orthodontist uses elastics to keep the arch-wire on the bracket. Whereas in self-ligating braces, the arch-wire is held in place by the bracket itself by closing a small, spring-loaded door.It is highly effective technological advancement in orthodontics which improves patient comfort, in addition to reducing time spent undergoing treatment.

What are the advantages of Self-ligating Braces?
